Responsibilities

The City of Starkville Information Technology Department is tasked with providing, maintaining, and managing the technology tools required to empower employees to perform their duties with high efficiency and effectiveness, while maintaining the highest levels of data and network security.

The Department is responsible for all aspects of technology utilization from project initiation and management to desktop support for all technology tools, as well as developing  and  implementing technology policies and procedures followed by the entire organization.

The Department oversees Interoperability and standardization of technology used by departments to improve workflow and gain efficiencies, while being thoughtful stewards of taxpayer resources.
